Information you provide
The Free Guide form collects your first name, last name, email address, your consent selection, and the source of the request. When you contact support, we receive your email address and the information in your message. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, health records, or the contents of your family emergency folder through this form.
Why we use it
We use your request details to deliver the guide, send the follow-up emails you agree to receive, respond to questions, maintain your email preferences, and operate and protect the service. Email consent is optional: you can choose not to submit the form, and you can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting support.
Website and email technology
The website uses Joomla and is hosted through Namecheap on a server in the United States. The request form and email campaign use our Mautic installation at mautic.traincurling.com, hosted by Hoststar in Switzerland. Email is currently sent through Google Gmail using
Website and form requests can generate technical records such as IP addresses, browser information, request times, and visited URLs. Joomla uses session cookies for login and site operation. Mautic may associate form submissions and email interactions with a contact record. Our email configuration includes an open-tracking pixel and tracked links; these can record email opens or link clicks when your mail application permits them. These measurements may be affected by email privacy features.
Service providers and international processing
Hosting and email providers process information needed to operate their services. The Mautic hosting is in Switzerland. Namecheap and Google are US-based providers, and their services may process information in the United States and other countries described in their privacy notices. Keeping and deleting information
Contact information is kept while it is needed for the requested guide, your email subscription, support, and service administration. Unsubscribing stops marketing messages; it does not by itself erase all records. A limited record of your opt-out may be retained to prevent further marketing, along with records needed for legal obligations or security. You can ask support to review or delete your information. Provider logs and backups follow the respective provider’s retention arrangements.
Your choices and rights
Contact support to ask whether we hold information about you, request access or correction, request deletion, or withdraw email consent. Depending on applicable law, additional rights such as restriction, objection, or data portability may apply. We may need to verify a request before acting on it. You can also contact your competent data protection authority, including the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Your own family documents
The Free Guide is a PDF download. The signup form does not provide a facility for uploading your family documents. Keep your sensitive documents and backups protected on systems you control.
Changes and other services
We will update this notice if the form, providers, tracking, or data uses change. These notices cover the website, Free Guide requests, and support. Checkout and paid-product delivery are not active; their processing information will be added before those services launch.
