Family Emergency Folder is built around a simple problem: important information often exists, but it is scattered. One record is in an email, another is in a paper drawer, and the name of the right person to call may be known only to one member of the household.
Our aim is to make the starting point clearer. A practical folder system, an up-to-date contact list, and a record of document locations can help you explain where to look. The system should fit your life and be manageable enough to maintain.
The project is operated by Optamis GmbH in Arlesheim, Switzerland, and is designed for an English-speaking US audience. You organize your personal records in your own storage; the website does not ask you to upload those records.

The Free Guide gives you a checklist of the information to identify. You can use it to create your own folder system. The planned Complete Package will offer a prepared folder and subfolder structure with editable supporting tools for people who prefer an organized starting point.
We focus on practical organization and clear explanations. We do not claim that one folder solves every emergency or replaces professional planning. Decisions about legal documents, medical care, taxes, and financial matters remain separate from organizing the relevant records.
